The Afro-Religious Experience is a respectful immersion into African-rooted traditions, which are fundamental to Bahia’s cultural identity. The itinerary presents, in a sensitive and contextualized way, the foundations of Candomblé and/or Umbanda, their symbols, rituals, and the living presence of ancestry.
The experience includes a visit to a traditional terreiro, where visitors are welcomed by the community and come into contact with practices, teachings, and expressions such as chants, prayers, and symbolic elements connected to the Orixás and axé. More than simply learning about these traditions, this experience is about understanding and respecting a spirituality that has been passed down through generations and sustains important cultural, historical, and social dimensions of the Brazilian people.
