Description

The Afro Roots Walking Tour is a guided experience through Salvador’s Historic Center that reveals, step by step, the living presence of African ancestry in the formation of the city. More than a tourist route, it is a walk of historical, cultural, and symbolic recognition of the legacy of Black people.

Throughout the journey, visitors are invited to understand Salvador through Afro-Brazilian narratives, recognizing the role of Black communities in the construction of the city, the preservation of culture, and the creation of contemporary expressions of resistance and entrepreneurship.
