Experience one of the most important manifestations of Afro-Brazilian culture in the Recôncavo Baiano. Bembé do Mercado, held annually in Santo Amaro, celebrates the memory of the abolition of slavery through public Candomblé rituals, chants, dances, atabaques and cultural expressions that preserve the strength of Black ancestry.
We invite you to take part in this experience with respect, sensitivity and historical context, offering an authentic encounter with a tradition recognized as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Bahia. More than attending a celebration, it is an opportunity to understand the resistance, faith and identity that remain alive among the Bahian people.
